The elusive Southern Rātā tree only flowers strongly enough to produce a honey crop every few years. For this reason Southern Rātā honey is extremely hard to find, like a precious jewel. We have managed to source a limited supply of this rare and highly sought after delicacy.

The Southern Rātā tree's bright red blossoms stand out like beacons in the untouched native forests of New Zealand's South Island. A truly pure and natural environment, known for its pristine water and dense forests.

This single origin, small batch raw honey is light and buttery, like a soft caramel.
