Thanksgiving Feast 2016
We have a lot to be thankful for. It has been a big year for us; new baby, new business, new property, and soon a new place to live (fingers crossed!). We have wonderful family and friends who have supported us in so many ways, and in fact without them, so much of this wouldn’t have been possible. I have always loved the idea of Thanksgiving, even though it’s not a Kiwi holiday. Taking a day to stop and think about all of the things that we are thankful for just seems like a good thing to do. So this year, we decided to gather some friends and family and have a Thanksgiving lunch to celebrate 2016. We were lucky enough to have Rory’s parents farm to use as the location and our friends went above and beyond creating delicious food for us to share. Look out in the following days for recipes to go with some of the delicious food you see here, like the honey glazed ham, cranberry, pear and honey turkey stuffing, honey pumpkin pie, honey mascarpone and preserved fig pavlova stack and a cheeky honey, chamomile tea and whisky cocktail. Just in time for Christmas too!
