How to: using honey powder to finish steak and dehydrate bacon

Here's our quick how-to-guide for perfectly searing your steaks with honey powder and how to make dehydrated honey bacon -
Searing meat - Sous vide method -  Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of honey powder on each side of your meat that has been cooked sous vide. Sear in a pan on low heat for approximately 1 minute on each side (or you can sear just one side if you wish) until the meat has an evenly caramelised sear.
Searing meat - grill method - Cook your steak as you normally would in a pan or on a grill but about 30 seconds before you think it's ready, pull it off the grill or out of the pan and roll both sides in a sprinkling of honey powder to give it a light coating. Return to the pan or grill and quickly caramelise both sides. Remove and rest.
Bacon - lay rashers of bacon on a dehydrator tray or oven tray and sprinkle 2 teaspoons of honey powder over the side that is facing up. Place in the dehydrator or oven at 65 degrees celsius for 24 hours. Your bacon will be deliciously sweet and crispy.
